The VIDEOGRAMA International Video Art Festival, in its third version, wishes to collect proposals without limitations of a conceptual or experimental nature in video art projections, experimental cinema and experimental animation that address the curatorial theme around border stories.
We consider it relevant to explore these limits and demarcations with their consequent transformations through image and audio. Inviting authors to present works that create layers, that superimpose stories, to imagine a way to transform them and thus poetically address these constructed barriers. Stories that involve the experience of those who inhabit border areas on edges; stories as diverse as migration, cultural identity, resistance and even violence in both documentary and fictional ways and thus be able to participate in their experiences and perspectives, reinventing other dynamics that promote dialogue and exchange on the subject.
In this 3rd edition of the Festival, the selected works will be projected in the city of Bogotá on the façade of Espacio Odeón, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bogotá, the entrance to the University Civic Center of the Universidad de los Andes, and the outdoor terrace of the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Arts at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana between March and May 2024. Additionally, the Festival will hold screenings in different spaces nationwide and on a non-profit basis during the year 2025.
This Festival was born in 2015 in Bogotá to be presented in public spaces. To date, it has two versions, the first in 2015 and the second in 2021 thanks to the support of different institutions such as Idartes and the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogotá-Colombia). In the 2024 version, the Festival is held with the support of the CIC Research and Creation Center, Faculty of Arts and Humanities - Universidad de los Andes.
The works exhibited during the Festival are brought together in a printed publication that can be used as reference material at an academic level for filmmakers, artists and curators, consolidating an archive that serves for the study and analysis of this genre.
Additionally, the 2024 version is scheduled during the year 2025, to hold screenings in different spaces nationwide and on a non-profit basis, as it has been sold in previous versions.
El Festival Internacional de videoarte VIDEOGRAMA en su tercera versión desea recoger propuestas sin limitaciones de tipo conceptual o experimental en proyecciones de videoarte, cine experimental y animación experimental que aborden el tema curatorial en torno a los relatos de frontera. Consideramos relevante explorar esos límites y demarcaciones con sus consecuentes transformaciones a través de la imagen y el audio. Invitando a los autores a presentar obras que creen capas, que sobrepongan historias, a imaginar una forma de transformarlas y así abordar poéticamente estas barreras construidas. Historias que involucren la experiencia de aquellos que habitan zonas fronterizas en aristas; relatos tan diversos como la migración, la identidad cultural, la resistencia e incluso la violencia tanto de manera documental como de ficción y así poder ser partícipes de sus experiencias y perspectivas, reinventando otras dinámicas que promuevan el diálogo e intercambio sobre el tema.
En esta 3ra edición del Festival las obras seleccionadas se proyectarán en la ciudad de Bogotá en la fachada de Espacio Odeón, el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá, el ingreso al Centro Cívico Universitario de la Universidad de los Andes, y la terraza exterior de la Sala de Exposiciones de la Facultad de Artes de la Pontificia Universidad Javeriana entre marzo y mayo de 2024. Adicionalmente el Festival realizará proyecciones en diferentes espacios a nivel nacional y sin ánimo de lucro durante el año 2025.

Adicionalmente la versión 2024 tiene programado durante el año 2025, realizar proyecciones en diferentes espacios a nivel nacional y sin ánimo de lucro, como lo ha vendido realizando en con las versiones anteriores.
